There will be NO Bring Your Own Paint
that i think people will have the most problem with, usually you can get a decent box of paint (2000) for 30 pounds e.g. proto, draxxus, etc..
those fee's are excessive, maybe for the public but you have no hire equipment so obviously not for them.
BYOP is an option most paintballers prefer as they will know and have the paint that best suits them and they prefer.

but will proberly pop along just to spectate as iam of work and its only a 25 min drive

It really is easy to say 'I can get paint for £25 a box!',

But what are you buying? JUST a box of paint.

You are not paying for a place to use it, or the Marshals, the Air, the lighting, the Bunkers, etc......

You can buy a piece of steak from Tesco for £4.00 but pay £12.00 to have a steak meal in a pub.

I can supply you with 'cheap' paint, but you want paint that will explode on impact, across the field, not a point blank.

The Field is not a municipal Rec field set up by a council for all to come and use/abuse as they wish; it is after all a business.

BYO may be available, but then you are going to have to pay a reasonable 'Green Fee' to play.

What would you rather, £40 a box inc fees, or £25 to £30 for fees and BYO?

I don’t want to sound harsh, but I do want to earn a living, as well as enjoy the sport.

I'd rather pay £25 walk on fee and BYO paint than pay £40 for a box of Diablo Heat.

Or, if you do want to make it site paint only, then have a range of paints available.

Not being funny, but other sites run walk on's which last for a full day and they only charge £15 - £20 green fee and have either BYO or a range of paints, from cheap crap to decent grade paint.

£40 walkon fee for an evening, which is probably only going to run for a couple of hours due to it getting dark is slightly excessive mate :(

Id have to agree with the majority of the above. By doing it this way you will deter many serious players/teams who have paint contracts and sponsors etc. Im not sure many teams would choose to pay £40 a case and have free green fee, than pay £15 green fee and then bring their own paint.

Obviously you have to make a profit, that goes without saying, and paint prices is a good way to get money off the punters, but when dealing with experienced tourney players who cringe at the thought of paying more than £25 a case then you may run into difficulties.

Wednesday the 6th will be our first day, dont knock us for saying no BYO for that!

Let things work out, there will be options to discuss everyones requirements.

Come over, see what we have, see the field, talk to me and then we will all know where to move on.

The costs are nowhere near the normal Rec paintball prices, so there is a HUGE saving there, and i know the principle of selling quantity producing profit, but if no-one buys our paint, and only wants to pay 50p to play, we might as well pull the field down now and not bother. :(

Ballers have to appriciate that you have to pay something to play. How much is it you pay to go to tourny?

Its a Walk-On, a 'fun', 'social' evening.

Lets keep it in the context.
