OK, I fail to see how either of these patents covers any Smart Parts marker, but (as SP have proved already) little details like that don't matter when you have expensive lawyers at your disposition.

It may be another grand hoax, but if not then SP have a taste of their own medicine coming.

It definetly isn't a hoax....

As to the suit, I can't judge what will happen with it...certain little details didn't seem to stop smart parts.

Reading the patents there are definite overlaps to SP gear, and SP patents too.

Well I'm all for WDP with this one folks. Anyone got any idea of timescales with this? or are we talking 2009 before its settled?

So WDP are gonna nail SP for the ability to link to their guns from a remote terminal, and also for having an on board computer programmable by way of pushable input butons?

Looks like preliminary pretrial conference is set for the 3rd of June @ 8.15am ... so maybe sooner as opposed to later.

Well they can just do what SP has done, 'settle' with the companies they are friends with. In WDP's case they could offer deals to every other company but SP, a deal where they settle for $1.

And what is the deal with those 4-5 stores in Wisconsin. Why are they involved in this???
