smart parts guns regulators remind me of super soakers?

ok, i have noticed that on lots of smart parts guns have a regulator guage on them. these remind me of when i was younger and all the 'good' super soakers had the same kind of thing. the sp8 is probably the one that remined me the most. does anyone agree or am i bonkers? also does any1 else assosiate anything like that? (just trying to pass the time caus i'm ill)

personaly ive found the SP guage useful. meant that I could visually chrono my marker to a degre, then fine tune over a chronograph (saves time) and also gave a nift little thing to hook my thumb over with my left hand...

then again, im not completely adverse to the Smart Parts markers. They have there uses.
Im going to stop there, else a huge 'to SP or not to SP' debate begings... of which i am sure there are many
