I'm looking for a way to use small batteries to power a marker instead of PP3s.
Been looking at all sorts if variations but can't find anyhitng in particular that would work.
Could I use 2 4.6v or 3 3v but need a decent mAh, around 500.
They need to be slim and possibly rechargeable...

Was something I was thinking about, but would ideally be smaller for the voltage.
Also.. Can I just daisy-chain them?

Cheers

Yes, you can connect them in series to get double the voltage.

If you connect them in parallel you get the same voltage, but double the current capacity.

7.2V should be enough. But this depends on the characteristics of the battery and the hardware on the board. You cant really have too much voltage, so I would go with 2 4.6V cells wired in series giving 9.2V.

500mah is easily enough for a paintgun, it only has to light a couple of LEDs and trip a solenoid every so often. Especialy if you rig it so that you can swap out the battery pack for another, freshly charged one should the need arise.

Cant you just use 1, 9.6v cell? RC car/plane/helicopter batteries range from about 600-1400 mah, depending on what quality one you get, and start from about £9. Rechargeable and all that.
