The way to remedy that is to get AKA's "straight" pump arm (used to be available from G3). The typical "bent" pump arm allows for rotation at either the ram or the back block which tends to close the gap one should leave between block and body. No probs with straight pump arm. If they are cheap, I recommend getting a spare. They are indeed super light, you can, indeed, lower your settings. The downside is that if you don't moniter your spacing periodically, they will break. The gap at the back of the receiver in front of the back block is critical- too many smacks into the body and this little widget will break. That is the price you pay for reduced weight, I guess.
