slight air leak from behind bottle gauge.

i have a very slight leak coming from the back of where the gauge screws into the regulator

i was wondering if i can unscrew the gauge and maybe put it back in to maybe stop the leak using the tape you use with marco fittings? obviously the tank has no air in it at all
people who have the knowledge on these things an opinion from you would be great, if nothing can be done then the leak is something i can live with but id rather sort it out

my bottle did that ages ago, i simply took the gauge off, cleaned the thread, reapplied ptfe tape and screwed it back in...

ptfe tape on anything with a tapering thread will normally stop any leaks.
