Sky

I don't know anything about the Sky deal so it is just a general comment

It is a good job SKY did not come to the PA cup yesterday because the footage would not have been on SKY sports it would have been on one of those "Weather Disaster" programmes on the Discovery channel!!!!  I think they should wait till summer when the rain is warmer!!

Steve

Please note this is not a criticsm of the PA cup - as a fellow event organiser - weather is our worst enemy - ask Cooks who risked his life to recover a barricade at my last event.

Chris take a look at the PA forums, but Hatts and Gillie are due to meet tomorrow I think with Sky with a look to come to the May event.

I would also think this may be held off slighlty until a redesign of the netting is complete after the wind tried its hardest to trash the place yesterday.

And you base this on what Ro? Have you spoke to the PA organisers? I have and I'm quite certain that the PA will get it's moment on TV, maybe not the 'match of the day' style weekly show some people have excitedly imagined in the minds but footage on Sky none the less.

I think people are getting a little hung up about it, let's face it, paintball matches (as in, shown in their entirity) are just boring on TV and I think we are some way off a weekly show dedicated to the sport. TV, especially British TV is incredibly slow to catch on to new fads/interests. Look how long it took TV to realise that computer games were big business and worth giving air time to...about 10 years!

LOL! apologies, maybe he was, but then you never know with Roland.

The info about the Sky coverage holds though to the best of my knowledge. The PA will get some footage shown, just not the weekly slot with it's own show at 7pm many had in mind ;)

Hi Ben, you know me just trying to wind people up.

Your 'fifteen minutes of fame' isn't worth it, TV people are a pain in the arse (or is that ass, I never know).

But then again there is no smoke without fire!:D
