Being fairly new to paintball, I,m trying to learn as quick as i can. I had heard that kaos - kaos d markers did,nt like fragile paint. Anyways went to my local Walk on, got talking to a staff member about paint was advised to stick with site paint as tournament paint fragile, all well and good I thought. Later in day got talking to a ten year+ paintballer who told me tournament paint at Site not fragile just better fit for marker barrel! like balls would be 0.68 rather than any smaller size likely to affect aim and feet per second. Is this correct? And as site paint brands vary from site to site, would it pay me to get a selection of barrels? Our markers have (I apologize for spelling LOL) auto cocker thread. As I got to buy for 2 of us any ideas what's an average price for a good selection of these barrels?

Tourney paint is more fragile, try a mid range paint such as GI Sportz 2 Star Paintballs
There are a wide choice of barrel kits available depending on your budget.
you can go for something like the freak which has changeable bore inserts or something like a sly kit whic has changable bore backs.

personally id give the guys @ lips a call they are very helpful :)

How competitive are you really playing is the question... Personally if your playing woods ball it doesnt matter as much.. maybe a paintball not too fragile so it does not burst when going through twigs etc is more important then..

Harder shelled paint is better in blowback markers like the Kaos. That's why a lot of sites use grades like Sterling Rec - less broken paint in rental markers. Downside is you get more bounces especially at long range, unless you find something hard to hit like hopper, goggles or the other player's wearing a teenage mutant ninja turtle outfit.

that picture is spot on with rentals. If you are sizing paint get yourself a. Freak kit.
