Simple eye check for trouble shooting.

With your barrel removed and marker/eyes turned on. Take a camera phone and look down into the breech, you should be able to see the eyes light beam, to confirm that your eye harness is not f@#ked. This does work better in low light conditions.

It works on my DM6, so it will be trial and error for other markers, but its the same principal.

good thinking, most cameras can see infra red, and nearly all phone cameras i think... also works with your tv remote in the dark

On my Dm6 the light is omitted from the right hand eye(as you look into the breech area from barrel) and I take it the left hand eye is the reciever. I was using my bog standard mobile, no bells and whistles there.

I would suggest using full zoom, if you have that feature and keep your hand over the feedneck. Try it after dark with the lights off.
