i got a slide frame on right now, but wanna install my hinge, tis an eclipse mk2 i think. anyway, i had it installed before, and at the indoor, asked LPS if they could have a fiddle and time it make it shoot nicely. however, they said i need a shorter 3way for it to work. is this true, as just in the classifieds i saw a mini cocker with hinge and what looked like a stock 3 way. as i now have a dive tank with air to try out the timing, will i be wasting my time.is it just a matter of playing around with the timing or do i need a new 3 way

cheers mike

You dont need a new 3-way. Look at the stock 2003 cockers, they come with WGP hinge frames and the current stock 3-way. I have a MkII blade on my outkast which had the stock 3-way on it which I believe is the same as the stock 2003 one.

All a new three way would do for you is give you a shorter 'throw' on the trigger pull, stock one should be fine.

Although with my old STO (bless me old faithful) once there was a blade frame on her she did tend to leak from the 3 way. This way solved by getting an ASA mod (basically a grub screw to hold the arm in place) installed by Planet at a cost of around £15... well worth it :)
