If the title was too confusing for you im looking to buy a 4500psi tank and although the DP g3 says to use low pressure i've heard it gives you more problems :\ i heard the higher pressure tanks are better though.. so really the question is. Are the rumors about higher pressures being better a load of bollocks or not? ;)

as far as i know that marker will run on either?

if thats the case then i would get a HP tank as the majority of markers fun off HP, meaning if you get another gat, or borrow one, you can still use your tank.

unless of course you buy a LP gat... but then were back at square one...

done a little reading,
LP output is around 450psi
HP is around 800 psi

as just about all markers have somesort of reg on them, that would mean that just about any gat operating on under 250psi should be fine on LP tanks...
as far as i know, its only tippys and the like's that run over 250psi

As long as the reg has a decent recharge rate and you aren't doing any ridiculous high rof play then yes, otherwise shootdown becomes an issue. At 10 bps....yeah it's all the same and you get an extra 400psi to play with before your velocity starts to fluctuate wildly so LP is pretty handy for back players.

So in short:

A hp tank will work on any gun without shootdown problems.

A LP tank will work on some guns at some rates of fire.
But on other guns at a certain rate of fire the reg wont be able to keep up and you will lose velocity during rapid fire (shootdown).

The exception to this rule is certain angels, which will only run off LP.
