Shoreline Events Ltd and Mayhem Paintball are pleased to announce the first genuine scenario paintball event to be held within the M25.

Return to the ThunderDome

As what is left of civilisation completely disintegrates, it's every man for himself. Survival of the fittest. No loyalty, no honour - just survival.

Some see strength in numbers and join marauding gangs who pillage their way across the land. Others prefer to go it alone and rely on their own basic instincts to live.

All are on an endless search for one commodity - fuel. Because in this new world.......fuel is power, and power means survival.

However, even in these unforgiving times - old enemies still find time to do battle.

Max Rockatansky leads a group of settlers towards a long forgotten oil refinery, intent on repairing the works and to use the fuel to begin a new society, a fair society and a peaceful society.

Unbeknown to Max, another very different group have also got wind of the abandoned refinery and plan to take it over themselves and use the fuel to extend their reign of terror across the outback. This group of murderers, thieves and scousers is led by Lord Humungus - an evil tyrant who Max thought he had killed years earlier.

As both groups converge on the refinery a brutal and almighty battle breaks out. At stake is not just the future of each group - but of society itself.

Return to the ThunderDome will take place this summer on Saturday and Sunday 15/16 August.

It will be held at the outstanding Mayhem Paintball site near Romford Essex - one of the most impressive venues in the UK. With literally dozens of armoured vehicles including tanks, APC's, aeroplanes, helicopters, fighter jets and rocket launchers in a big playing area including open fields and thick woodland, it genuinely feels as though you are playing through some kind of post apocalyptic battle field.

Duncan 'Mad Max' Decorator of the Warren Wood Rangers will lead the Settlers.

Steve 'Lord Humungus' Witz of Going Postal will lead the Biker Warriors

A small band of heavily armed mercenaries with loyalty to nobody but the highest bidder will be led by Tippmann Scotland who will be joined by some special guests - further details to be released.

Camping will be available on-site on the Saturday night from 4pm onwards.

There will be a night games running on the Saturday night.

There will be a free taxi from the local tube station to the site running Saturday evening and Sunday morning.

There are separate hard standing toilets for women and men and showers are also available for players to use on-site.

In addition to the main staging area, there will be additional respawn areas in the field. Each of the field respawn areas will have running water, air and paint.

Paint at the field respawn areas will be supplied upon production of paint tokens which can be purchased in the main staging area. This means that in theory once you enter the field at the beginning of the day - should you choose so, you do not need to leave the field until the game ends as you will be able to obtain water, air and paint in the field.

The site will open at 7.30 am and registration will be open and under way immediately.

Game briefing will take place at 9.30am

Game will start at 10am - no exceptions.

Game end will be 4pm and player prizes and presentations no later than 4.30pm

This event will feature compulsory Air Safety Training for those players who do not already possess a valid air safety pass.

In order to use the site air system to fill your bottle, you must have completed the Air Safety Training. The Air Safety Training takes approximately 30 minutes and the laminated pass you receive at the end will be valid for one year.

If you do not allow enough time in the morning to complete the Air Safety Training, you will not be able to fill your bottle. So please, arrive half an hour earlier than you usually would for an event and take the training. It's not a lot to ask and it may just save your life!

In addition to the excellent on-site air system, we will also be using additional air systems from the same company who recently supplied the Black Hawk Doon game.

Whilst you can BYO paint, as usual we would ask that you support the vendors who have made the considerable effort it takes to be on-site and who contribute to the overall event. Mayhem will be taking advance paint bookings for collection on the day and all the usual brands at the usual prices will be available. Advance booking is recommended to ensure you get the brand you want.

Event information and tickets can be found on our website http://www.shorelineoutdoor.com

We are offering a 10% discount for UKPSF members. Please ensure that you purchase the correct ticket.

As part of our ongoing commitment to encourage new players into paintball, Shoreline's Bring A Mate (BAM) campaign will be in operation. BAM tickets for this event are £55 which includes all the rental equipment as well as 500 paintballs. So, if you have a friend, neighbour, workmate or relative who is interested in seeing for themselves what you get up to at paintball events - this is the ideal opportunity.

There is a processing fee of 90p per ticket listed as postage. No physical tickets will be issued. Please print your purchase confirmation and produce it at registration.

This event will be run under the new UK Scenario Paintball Community guidelines. A full player pack will be published prior to the game with event specific information, general game rules and all relevant information.

Subject to confirmation, traders on-site will be Mayhem, Manic Paintball, Smart Parts and Dye with Smart Parts and Dye offering free tech support.

If you have any queries please email info at shorelinepaintball.com or PM Timboy or Wickham.

Working in partnership with Mayhem Paintball, Shoreline are excited about running our first big event in the South East and the UK's first big scenario event within the M25 - it promises to be a fantastic weekend.

See you there.

There will essentially be two sides (Settlers and Biker Warriors).

You just pick a side.

Doesn't matter if you are just rocking up on your own as loads of people do, or if you are coming mob handed as part of a team. Either way, just pick a side when you buy the ticket and crack on.

Sides will be roughly equal in numbers - so should be pretty even play.

Doesn't matter if you are new - it's all pretty light and airy and you'll meet plenty of people on the day. There will be plenty of people there who will be newer than you.

If you or any friends don't have kit - then take a look at the Bring A Mate (BAM) tickets as they provide all the kit you need and enough paintballs to get started as well.

Shame the scheduling for this conflicts with August UK Masters!

Mayhem was the first site I visited in 1989! Always keen to support them as the site is one of the best
