Shoreline to launch paintball Guinness World Record!
For the past four months, Shoreline Events Ltd UK have been in negotiations with the Guinness World Record board to finalise the details for a brand new Guinness World Record – the Worlds Longest Paintball Shot.
We are delighted to announce that the details have now been finalised and the parameters agreed meaning that at all future Shoreline events, we’ll be giving players the opportunity to set a new World Record completely free of charge.
To attempt the record, players can use either their own commercially available paintball marker or one supplied free of charge by our partners. Each player will have 10 shots per attempt to strike and penetrate a paper target measuring 60cm’s x 60 cm’s.
Each attempt will take place in highly controlled conditions and will be witnessed by our qualified team. The longest shot will be verified and a certificate awarded to the player to signify that they are the current holder of a Guinness World Record. Their name will then be entered into the Guinness World Record books.
Players will be able to attempt the record at all future Shoreline events in the UK and Europe and at any other location attended by a representative from either organisation. The first attempt will be made at Super6/2: Chocolate Factory, 9th April 2011.
“This will be a lot of fun. It’s something a bit special that will be added to our events and also means that some lucky player will have their name in the record books. We’ll be running attempts at events in the UK, Europe and possibly even in the USA during 2011 to try and give as many paintballers as possible the opportunity to get their names written into the record books. Good luck!” - Tim Barnett, Shoreline Events Ltd
The first attempts will be running at the next Super6 event in April. This will be in addition to all the other activities that take place over Super6 weekend. Give it a go - you could leave a World Record holder!
