If there is enough interest then I am considering running an Xball day at one of two sites a few miles from Junction 10 of the M25, after the German Millennium Series event, on Sunday 18th April in Dorking. PM me for the location of the site.
The set up would be a complete Xball field, with a compressor in between the pit areas for accessible fast filling air when time is at a premium, as well as a fully netted safe zone.
There will be the entire roster of Shockwave on hand to offer tips, and coach on techniques, and aspects of Xball that we have encountered from playing against the Oakland Assassins, Miami Effect and Avalanche as well as numerous and vigorous training sessions.
There will be a Shockwave player in each Pit area for the day, giving tips, and helping out, as well as players on the tapes coaching mid game as a crowd would do. Shockwave will provide each team that plays with a coach for their games if the participating teams wish, or do not have a spare player to do so.
We are looking at getting as many teams there as possible, split into 5 man squads and paired with a squad of similar ability so that noody plays a team of far superior skills.
There will also be some exhibition games at intervals during the day between two 5man Shockwave squads so that players can see how Xball is played at the highest level.
The cost will be approximately £20 per player, and we will be selling paint on site, at around £35 per box, which will be Draxxus Blaze.
Please either post below or pm me if you are interested, or mail me at samtelfer17@hotmail.com so that I can sort out dates the of the session. Please also state how many players you will be bringing along, and whether or not you would require paint.
Teams are more than welcome to bring their own paint to the event, sorry guys, forgot to post that Paint will be sold on site as wel though.
