i heard that Shockwave were in the states this weekend, playing the Assassins, Kappalanche, and Miami
Any word on what happened guys?

From Smacktalk...

Ya someone already posted crap about it, but I went there with one thing in mind, and that was watching the teams. Here is my call.

Assassins: simply amazing firepower! They took it to Miami in the morning, but looked pretty well balanced against Miami once those guys got their legs back in the later part of the day. They mowed *everyone* else out there except for the few games against the new Avalanche squad. Kudos to Bob for giving his left over paint to all the star struck who were hanging out watching. This will still be a top tier team in the NXL.

Miami: they have stepped it up and have really started to gel. They mostly only played against the Assassins over the weekend, but after getting it taken to them in the morning, they got their game back and pretty much ended the day as a draw. They are finally starting to use the mowing power of their timmys to it's fullest extent (well except for Rusty who still shoots like 2bps). Look for these guys to also be in the top tier this year - no more bottem feeding.

Avalanche: don't call them Kapp anymore. It may still be Dave Bains and company, but wow have these guys peaked. They have been playing EVERY weekend, both days, and practicing during the week as well. Ed is backing these guys 100%, and by the ear to ear smile on his face after his guys went something like 12-4-1, he was very happy for his flight home. Also it looked really good when they took time from playing to sign autographs for a lot of little kids who showed up to watch. Kudos fellas. They will be a finals team in the NPPL for sure, and will be a real challenge to Dynasty, Strange and the Dogs in Div I x-ball.

Twisted (or now called Revolution): What happened to these guys? They were out on Saturday and looked like rookies. At one point the entire team gave up and went to play REC BALL! It's still pretty much the same core players, but I guess they spent too much time in the off season drinking then playing. Wow, what a bummer.

Shockwave UK: these guys flew all the way from the UK to play with the big boys. On Saturday the only team that looked worse then these guys was Twisted. They were still playing Euro ball, and were just getting blown off the field by timmys going 20bps, while they shot impulses and cockers. On Sunday these guys obviously learned their lesson, and looked *a lot* stronger. They were putting a lot more paint in the air and looked as if the norcal paintball style was much to their liking. If they can hold on to what they learned, they will be a force in the EXL in 04.

PS. mucho thanks to Crossfire paintball park for having everyone out. http://www.crossfirepaintball.com

PPS. NorCal rulz... :)

NXL marker rule #1: As long as it looks like you're pulling the trigger - anything is allowed!

(PS! I know, I know..everyone of you and your cousins are able to easily shoot 18+ bps with absolutely legal marker - trigger walkin' you know..)

Thanks Avalanche

Right here goes:
First of all i would like to thank a few people,Mr Bob Long, and Zak for everything, and those Pizza's were great thanks guy's, and thanks to Crossfire Paintball for having us there, and a Big Thanks to Ed and AVALANCHE, These boys Trained with us all day on sunday which was Wicked, and they sure showed us how American Style paintball is. We did'nt get many games on saturday against Oakland and Miami as they were going hard at each other all day, But we did beat those teams which was quite pleasing, as we did'nt expect to win any game's against the big 3 Teams, as if you was to ask most Players, who will finish bottom of the EXL they would say Shockwave.
What i did enjoy was the Sunday with Avalanche, they took the time out to be really Freindly, and showed us a thing or two, and i was really happy when at one stage the score was 5-4 to them until they started to pull away. So overall i did'nt think we did two bad, it was our first time playing X-Ball, and we thought the format was great. But there was one worry i had before i went to the States was the fire power of there markers, on the Saturday some of the markers i saw were fireing on ther own, they were pulling the Triggers letting them go and they were still going then pulled the Trigger again to stop the gun!! I really do hope that it does not happen in the Millenium and the EXL.

Thanks to Tony Perez And Dave From Lanche.

GUUUUUTED!!!!

Effect, my team of choice and I didn't get to even see them play never mind play em.

Was supposed to fly out to Munich with work first thing Monday so couldn't make the US trip.....Munich trip was cancelled last thing on Friday....work sucks.

Anyhow, ma boy Latham filled me in on the skinny last night and we didn't, by any means, give ourselves or UK ballers a bad name. Sounded like we mixed it real well with the hard ballers from Cali. apparently, Timmies are seeeeck and bob's new Alias cannons are just pure out and out mowing machines...need them in our lives??

Shockwave are gonna own shiz in the EXL kids, keep watchin.

Super ripped about not going but hey, deep down I can feel the love.

Twizz, how was coaching dude??
