Ive seen these on planet, labelled as "Shocktech Spyder Spring Kit - Colour Coded Spring Kit (4 Spings)"

What do they do? why are they better than the ones already in my (soon to arrive) spyder? and does anyone know if they will fit an AMG?

Normally you would adjust the velocity adjuster which increases or decreases the main spring tension behind the hammer. The more you increase the tension the harder the hammer will hit the exhaust value which in turn forces more co2 out which makes your velocity go up.

These springs are of various strengths and hence adjust the velocity the hammer hits the valve without you having to turn your velocity adjuster up/down.

You probably wont need to buy a set until your main spring gets so knackered that you cant shoot over 220 with the velocity adjuster dialed all the way in OR that you cant shoot below 300 with the adjuster turned all the way out.

You'll find the standard velocity adjuster just fine.

Hope that helps

Ray:)

Don't be surprised if your stock spring doesn't get your velocity over about about 250 fps (or, possibly, below 350 fps). I know at least five people who bought shiny new spyders, came to the field all excited and ready to play, got to the chrono, fiddled with their velocity for about 20 minutes and started asking everybody why their marker wasn't working. You'd be well advised to buy a spring kit, even if you don't need it, somebody using a spyder inevitably will.

Spring kits are especially usefull if you install any low pressure parts such as valves etc, they allow you to set up your marker so its more efficient.
Is it worth it??? depends if you want to pump money ito a marker that when/if you come to sell you won't get much more for despite the upgrades!
