Shocktech Drop

can you put any asa adapter on the shocktech dropforward? or does it have a rail so you have to get the one made for it?

Shocktech drops have two ways of attaching things to, they have a dovetail with a set screw and also the normal two screw holes spaced the same as on the grip frame (spyder spacing is different btw)

which one has the normal two screws because i dont want to get the one with the set screw in it

There's only one kind. You can screw a standard 2 hole mounted ASA or use any ASA adapter with a dovetail mount.

All the ones I've got/trying to sell have both a setscrew (for dovetail fitting) and two holes for standard ASA bottomlines.

What you will find though, is that if you have a bottomline which angles away from the grip rather than a duckbill style one, and you mount it on a medium to long length drop, you will find your bottle will be down by your chest rather than at your shoulder... I think that makes sense
