I know that shocker's are renowned for bieng absolute gas hogs, but exactly how many shots are you supposed to get from a 20oz tank, co i am getting 400 max! Something is wrong here. the pressure is at about 170 and chrono's at around 175-80. so i don't think that this is the problem. The only other thing that has happened is once or twice a tiny leak from the bottom elbow but this has gone once i de gassed and pushed the hose into it, the other time it hissed a little for a minute or so and then shut up. I dissasemble and lube after every use and have put 2000 rnd's through it so far.
does anyone have any ideas on what the prob is

Man

if your only getting 175-80 at 170psi then you have major problem some where. Is the shocker firing ok when it running or does it skip shots or burp!!. Have you checked to see if you have a restrictor in the air chamber??.or checked the solinoid spools?? As regards the shots per tank its approx

On co2

20 oz. Co2-------700

68cu in Co2------900

88cu in Co2------1100

114cu in Co2-----1300

on air(3000psi)

68/3000--------400
88/3000--------550
114/3000------700

On air(4500psi)

68/4500------900
88/4500------1200
114/4500-----1500

Let me know any other syptoms and i may be able to help a little

cheers

it sounds similar to the problem hybrid was having the other week

there are a couple of things to check
1. Check bolt tip o-rings.
2. Grease the popet and check the spring, Make sure the poppet on the back of the gun is screwed the whole way in.(also check there is no restrictor fitted in there)
3. It may be a faulty solinoid pilot or it requires greasing on the three way solinoid.

heres a link explaining how its done

Hybrids was a stripped o-ring on the solinoid spool

it sounds more like a bolt timing issue then, is it a Ds board or a LS board??

Ls

The previous owner had just sent it away to Smart parts to get the new LS board insalled instead of the dome, it was done by nick so i would imagine that the timing would be right, that was about 3 months ago.

I did think that that could be the obvious answer, cos i didn't fill the bottles all the time when i played last. i am playing next weekend so i will fill my own bottle and see if there is any difference. thanks for all your suggestions:)

You have a couple of options to increase the shots per fill

1) increase the operating pressure and decrease the fire pot so that you are running at a higer pressure but using less gas per shot

2) Fit a delrin bolt which will do the same as 1 but allow you to run at a lower pressure
