good - light (sft anyway), easy to maintain when you have done it a couple of times, fast as well a fast thing, require very little attention if looked after properly, all sorts of aftermarket parts for ultimate awesomeness.sft's are cheap as chips now, LP or HP
bad - when they go wrong they can be an aboslute bitch to fix, unless of course your me.with an sft stock bolt they are terribly inefficient (4 pods and a hopper from a 68/4500) the HE bolts take it to around 1500+ shots from the same tank(mine is at around 1700ish but is set up perfectly now, and has the IPR mod) sft's are reflective eye (not as reliable as break beam but ive NEVER chopped a ball in mine). SP are worse than useless at fixing them (apart from Mikey601's, the only one ive ever heard of that has come back working) they are allergic to lube down there by the looks of some of the shockers ive had for a service that have naffed up straight after a service from SP)
thats about all i can think of.
