Hi
Trying to get an old Shocker SFT working and really need the help from someone with experince with these markers. Needs to be someone in the Salisbury or Southampton area. Happy to travel a sensible distance.

I have replaced almost all the O rings and have got rid of the majority of the leaks (stills seems to be one from the bolt area).
Cheers
Rich :)

Only qualified techs I can think of from the top of my head sown there are LIPS and SP themselves.

If you need a hand just give me a shout I'll see what knowledge I can drop your way. also check out www.zdspb.com should give you a great starting point :)

I am familiar with the website as it has been invaluable in teaching me how to strip and replace all the O rings (except those within the manifold itself). Don't think it really requires a full tech, really just need someone who has owned them as is familiar with maintaining them. Are you anywhere near me?
Cheers

Don't think it is the solenoid that is the issue. Seem to be coming from within the can/bolt assembly. What complicates matters is that the website doesn't show all the aftermarket bolt set ups and my SFT has a hybrid bolt in it. Not clear whether the bolt bumper and bolt guide bumper are required in the hybrid (the website shows the stock assembly).

The hybrid guide acts exactly the same as the stock but is longer at the back allowing tool less (dis)assembly. The bolt bumper is definitely required, mainly just to prevent damage to the can and bolt, same with the guide bumper but not as much, neither being missing should cause a leak. If you could give me some more info on your leak I may be able to give you an answer.

That's the real problem. I am not particularly familiar with Shockers and so describing it exactly is an issue. It is the same when I go on the websites and they describe leaks. I have tried striping and regreasing, someone suggested that there were some grub screws that often come loose and need resealing but to be honest the leak seems to be within the can, hence why I thought it might be due to the bumpers.
