There are 3 main technical factors to consider here.
1. The Shocker is considered to be more accurate than just about anything else around.
2. How strong are you? The shocker is a bit of a gas hog & you're gonna need a bigger gas bottle than for the Impy! Plus the marker itself weighs a ton & is bigger.
3. The Shocker doesn't have the "eye" so slightly more chance of chopping a ball.
BUT - the most important thing is to try them both & see which you get on with better. You can get the best, most expensive marker on the market but if you don't get on with it you'll never play as well as you might with something you're more comfortable with.

Shocker...

I believe most people would say the Shocker because it is a closed-bolt marker...

Besides it is more gentle to the paintballs!! That means you can shoot paint, which breaks more easily on people!!! Very neccessary for a backplayer...

But you can really use both!! Pick the one you feel most comfortable with... I play with an Impulse Vision now, and it's different from a Shocker - but it isn't worse or better...

Calm down Philip. I didn't say that they do chop, just that there's even less chance with the Impy Vision especially at very high rates of fire, say above 10 bps.

Try them both, but i wouldnt really bother with a vision either (save yourself £200) ive had my impulse for about 7 months and the only breaks i have had are due to. A. Revvy batteries dying, B. Incorrect Freak Size.

Get the impulse...

I have a standard impulse and a Toxic performance vision both are excellent markers.

The impulse is almost the new shocker. The basic versions are excellent and now there is so much available to tweek them you can set it up as you want it.

In the end you pay your money and take your pick. Just try someone elses first and make the choice yourself and not on others opinions or hearsay.

On saying that

I got an Ex Cameronians Eclipse Shocker, and it is superb (how superb will be judged at the end of september) and I know that its twin was still for sale last I heard.

You can spend 5-600 quid on a basic Shocker/Impulse and then have to spend hundreds kitting it up, maybe better to have a look at the secondhand market, get a lot more for your dollar.

Do a search on "toilet sale" in classifieds (Ijust posted new to put it at top of list) look at teh spec on the ICE Eclipse Shocker and give Wee-man a bell. Lot of marker for the money.
