Shocker NXT or e-tek??

:confused: I was just wondering what people thoughts are on thses two guns my birthday is coming up and by that time i will have about £500 and will want a new paintball gun, I was wondering if people could advise me which way to go, I'd like to know as much as possible about them please, rot, maitenance and so on. :confused:

I will say, that firstly...why buy a £500 new gun, for £500, when you can buy a £900, second hand (just, usually) gun, for £400?

Of course it's up to you, but the secondhand forums are an excellent place to visit if you have cash.

I will always say Ego, over a Shocker...but...over an Etek...dunno..I like Shockers.

Egos and Eteks, are way easier to tech than shockers, and are less likely to go wrong, simply because of teh fewer parts/o-rings etc.

If I were you...I would take my £500 to the classifides and buy a nice Ego...maybe an 06.

Or, a DM5 or 6 maybe...better than a shocker, by..well a long way.
Similar bolt design, so o-ring maintainance is a must...very cool gun tho..I love em!!

For fooks sake, I actually cant believe how people are going on about which one is better than the other! ITS ALL A MATTER OF OPINION! In the last thread I saw Nige defending the etek and some other guys on the shocker. There is no simple answer; they are chalk and cheese, they are different gun platforms and IMO both are just as good as each other. ;) So what does it boil down to? Try both if you can or take a risk its up to you. I have an etek and absolutely love it, I personally like the feel and maintenence. Someone else may feel differently. All this:

ego = better than shocker
shocker = better than etek
therefore ego = mowing ur opponants

is honestly crap. Is a gun better because of its price? Go for what you like, save the pointless pennys striving to have the most expensive and get out there and train. :)

e-tek vs pm6
I realise that now that the pm7 is out the pm6 price has droped considerably, so i was just wondering what people would advice in this new comparison, oh and can you still get spare parts and stuff for the pm6??
