Shocker NXT + Blackheart question

Ok just a quick question, baught my old NXT back from the guy i sold it too, fired it up last week and noticed that when vision eye is on or off it still fires when no paint is running through it.
Is this right or are the eyes screwed?

Im not the most technical minded as you can probably tell

Eyes are not lined up, or the eye circuit is broken somewhere.

i should have probably mentioned that when you turn the gun on with no air and you pull the trigger it does the beep to indicate that there is no ball but when you switch off vision off the solenoid starts to click as normal

would this be the case in the two points you mentioned?
