Shocker 2003

Anyone know much about these??

I have got the new vert reg version and strapped my Geddon on the bottom, anyone know what the best output pressure from my Geddon to the shocker would be??? and anyone know how to sweetspot the shocker vert reg??

Not much in the Shocker manual about it, its assumes everyone uses a max flo!!

I belive that around 800psi would be the optimal input pressure, but 400psi or above should work OK.

800 i think thats too high, the shocker needs an input of bout 150 - 200, what ever the secondary reg regulates it down to, start low and build up while chronoing, when u get to desired fp3 stop adjustment

800psi was the pressure of the tank reg, the vert reg will drop it down to 150-200psi and I believe ideally you need to have a few hundred psi difference between the two regs.

if the vert reg of the shocker is anything like th angel reg, the pressure will want to be entering the secondary vert reg at about 400 psi

But Angels can't run CO2 (can they???)
wheras the new Shockers are suppost to run fine of CO2 with the new vert reg and CO2 is around 800psi, plus I guess that most people with the vert reg will be using a preset tank reg and they are usually around 800psi so it would make sense to design the vet reg to work best at around 800psi.

hes runnin it off a geddon so doing the increase as i said will be the best method, u r right though about the co2 thing

the output from the maxflow should be around 270psi to give 285-295fps, the primary reg should be around slightly more than twice the secondary reg so that you get no shoot down.

i would set the primary reg at around 600 - 650psi output

I think you will find that if you feed a new shocker with 270psi you will have to send it back to smart parts for some serious repair. 170psi is closer to the mark.

Alex, i dnt think 270 would blow the solenoid but its certainly too high an input pressure bruce!
