does anyone know what is involved in selling a marker to someone in the usa, in terms of costs, customs, delivery time? can you just take the package to the post office and have it sent over, or is there a specific procedure that needs to take place to do this? also, how does paypal work with different currencies? is it able to convert dollars to pounds?
can you get some kind of insurance cover for the package, similar to what you get when using special delivery in the UK?

my bro is buying a marker from the the states and for the guy to send it via UPS sent on a Friday to receive on the Monday was about $116. that is quick turn around though.

customs is all at there end and they will be contacted by customs to pay the import tax.
Paypal has a currency selection so they can send you it in pounds.

best bet would be to either contact UPS, FedEx or Parcel Force and get a quote on how much shipping would be as they all give tracking numbers that you can send to the buyer so they know where there parcel is and dont think your trying to rip them off:p

are paypal fees 4%, plus the 2.5% for exchange rates? also, is there a limit to the amount you can recieve on a personal account?

Tinkering ain’t easy
Paypal fees can be negated (personal payment owed) There is a limt you can send before you need to verify your account (£1700 I think) then you need to go through the process of sorting that out (takes a week or so to sort, but is very easy to do) but you can still recieve payments.

I sent a marker from the post office to the USA in December with tracking and up to £500 compensation, the cost was £26.37 for 1.960 kg.It was there 11 days.Keep the weight under 2 kg and you'll be okay.
Paypal can take the payment in $ and pay you in £ but your better off asking to be paid in £ because paypal give you a cr@ppy exchange rate.
Their is no limit on how much you can have sent to your paypal account.
