ive found a site on the net that are selling JT PROTEUS masks for $40 yes $40,
I ordered them paid by card as you do, got an e-mail back need a bank transfer "huh ?" and said cost up to $94 just to ship it to uk "how much! "so how can i get the stuff .

HELP !:confused:

See if there is any other way to send them cheaper and sort out paying for them ,i tryed to pay with master card but as im in UK say i can't ?? ,im waiting for a mail back to find out why ,

P.S found raven gear sacks for $60 (£40ish ) as well +$40 air shipping (yes we do have shipping from some u.s shops!) this was on... EBAY.

the masks were on www.actionvillage.com..

(just been back to site when you try to get to the black proteus mask link it takes you back to main page ,tryed it from top 100 and link for masks ) looks a bit strange to me!!!!!!

let me know if you order any how you get on mate !!:confused:

$40 retail, then when it reaches the UK customs put VAT and duty on top before they release the goods. VAT at 17.5%, not to sure on duty:confused: it's something like 5%

$94 shipping is bullsh*t. They are pilling on the dollers for themselves. Ask them to ship it by standard post.

To avoid paying and tax ask the supplier to put "samples for customers approval" or "gift" on the invoice. Customes should let it go with out to much of a fuss. Be aware this isn't strictly legal, and the supplier might not want to do it :(

The best way to get stuff cheap from the states is to go there on holiday, and bring it back with you saying you bought it in the UK and have been using it out there:rolleyes:

they add all charges on to your order.

I ordered a vertical asa nd a reg from the Us a while back but cos that was a small package the shipping was minimal. However now im getting a vertical feed 2002 cocker. Its $350 ish and its $91 for shipping but that sitll comes to onle £320. so with bigger items the charges go up. YOu cant realy escape the shipping and import taxes but sometimes its still worth it.

i mean the cheapest new vertical cocker i found in the uk was £460 and im gettin mine for £320 like i sed.......good saving

Why import stuff yourself when there are shops in the UK that do the hard work for you. Sure, on some expensive stuff it is cheaper to buy over the net but there are tax and customs issues as well as postage delays. I got a full size Raven kit bag from Just Paintball for £55 (plus P&P but it wasn't even nearly $40)!! I don't want to sound like a walking ad so if you want their number leave me a msg.

I like a lot of people would buy from this country,
but it cost a lot to get into this sport , ( yes i know you get what you pay for )thats why you try and get the best deal you can ,and if you do " TELL THE WORLD ".

I put this up two days ago and now ive got several addresses
for good priced gear thanks to people like you for the help ..


..it's taken me nearly three years to save for my kit mostly from PLANET sales and the guys at SKIRMISH NOTTS (thanks to Ian,Nick and ROB) .

sorry to go on E-type got me on me soap box again.. :)
