Does anyone know of some US websites that don't charge the earth for delivery and are reliable?

Depends what what want to buy. I haven't found any of the larger stores, stocking wide varieties of kit, to be much use. However, I've ordered from several smaller or specialist paintball shops in the US with great success, and not-too-excessive shipping charges.
