I've a SFT Shocker with blackheart board - and can't get the eyes to work. So far I've...

claned the old eyes;
tried new eyes;
cleaned the board;
checked both mainboard and solenoid connectors for bent pins;
checked the ribbon for pinching;
tried the ribbon with the connectors facing upwards and downwards

Any more suggestions/advice?

Cheers

Not sure of the age of the blackheart - but set at 1 for shocker not 2 for nerve; 3 & 4 don't appear available (as indicated by chirps)

try setting it up as normal, turn the eyes off, shoot a few off, turn teh eyes back on (shockers can be a pain sometimes)

OR try turning setting everything up and not putting paint in, when everything is done, paint up and try shooting.

Could just be that your eye is misalligned so is not detecting anything in which case you need to play around and tilt it up\down\left\right and see if it will work, I'd also try a different wire harness as they are fickle objects, particularly the SFT ones, I've destroyed many just taking them out of the socket

Cheers Balf.

Have tried as you suggest....no luck.

Wondering if the wire harness is the problem - don't have a spare. Any suggestions where I could pick one up?

Thanks again

alot of sft eye ribbons are as pointed out misaligned. the eye itself can be pointing at the top of the hole the eye sits in which causes the malfunction. try a piece of cotton wool between the eye cover and eye ribbon, this sometimes lines the eye up properly. if you do get a new ribbon it may have this fault also so it may take a few different ribbons before you find a working one. tbh i had an sft not long ago and it shot brilliantly eyes off.
