Well, I am curious what you all think. I have ruled out Angels and the Matrix and it is down to these two. It is tough contest. Just curious for your thoughts. Thanks.

Persoanlly I wouldn't touch the E-mag will a VERY long stick and definitely not my own money.

But if you are looking at an Excal the new Viking seems like nearly identical in performance but it's $800 - an absolute steal I think.

well, they are good markers, but they are sluts. Everyone has em, and I know there are markers out there just as good. So I am looking for something different.

It's a tough call, certainly. The Emag's design lends it to be simpler to work on, especially if you're familiar with Unireg/other Air America designs, because a Mag of any kind is really nothing more than a reg with an on/off pin sticking through it and a bolt in front. No external moving parts is nice as well. The mechanical override in the event of board and battery failure is an advantage that speaks for itself. The SFL Emag is also one hell of a sexy looking gun too. However, an Excaliber will be gentler on paint, doesn't rely on that stupid nubbin detent, has more abundant barrel supply (Cocker threads), is quieter, and fewer people have one. I'd say it's about even between the two.

KO: the SFL uses cocker threads :D Also, I don't think there is a wire nubin because it uses an Ani-Chop Eye. I am going to go with the SFL. I am also going to get a 10" Freak (I play front) and I already have a brand spankin new Armegeddon in the mail  Thanks for the help.

Out of the two the Emag seems the better option. Plus it looks so god damn spankin':D

Don't go with a 10" barrel, 12" minimum. I used to own a 10" Boomstick and it was just too small. You can use the longer barrels to hold down the sup'air bag creating a smaller profile, 14" freak was the dogs swingers;) :)

Good luck with your new toy

I finally shot an iR3 and can't say i was too impressed :( grip is great idea but didn't find it all that to justify the price.

Hey dude,

Don't have a definate shooter lined up yet. I've been checking out Kyles (Ex Thunder) LED Angel as a spare. Thinking about getting LPS to re-anno it and add some shiny $hit to it:cool:

Had a go on a LCD Sunday, wow that was so sweet. Pulled a phat bunker on one of Storm with it as well ;)

Think i'll settle on an IR3, COPS sounds awesome:)
