All the teams had a great time well maybe kelly's should become the guide's next time they come over since they along with panic attack who where helping them out took six hours to drive a two hour trip because they kept getting lost and now have a vast Geographical knowledge of Belgium:)
And the event itself went quite well even if we thought it was a strange way of getting the winners with no play off.
You played 7 teams out of 22 and the highest score won so if you got an easier draw you could win without playing the more experienced teams. i:e Kellys came third but did'nt get a chance to play the teams who came first and second.
Dont get me wrong i am not bitching one of them teams creamed us in quick quick time but i think it would have been nice to have a play off for maybe the top four:)

Hi Russell,

As one of the organisers (the one running around all day gettings team to the fields), i would like to say that this was the first tournament we have organised so far, and because we wanted to give all the teams 8 games(not 7 like you stated) we were not sure that we would finish before it would be getting dark, in the end we had enough time so next time we will certainly have a playoff for numbers 1 thru 4.

If any of you lot have some points you would like to see changed or maybe a few good tips, they would be greatly appreciated, just like it was appreciated by us(organizers) and the teams that you guys were coming over!.

Hope you liked the event, and next time w'll try to get some better weather, it most have almost looked like home to all you guys with it raining the whole day! :D

Anyway, let us know, and hope to see you on the next edition of the event!

Severe Cup Belgium

As an experienced event organiser who regularly gets things wrong I would like to congratulate the event organisers and marshals at the Severe Cup. It was there first event and with anything new there will be "teething" problems but they were very few. It was profesionally organised. It is a pity they could not have arranged sunny weather!!!!

The marshalling was good all day, the fields were well set up (OOOO we did it!!!) tubbie running around sorting the teams out was excellent, the food was good and Sigrun remembered the tea bags. The standard of play was good and very fair.
:)

A few other thanks you - Buddha thanks for playing with our team, Kelly's and Panic Attack for giving us hours of fun as they visited every town in Belgium except the one where the event was, the Russell rule book players and the Euro spares. Thanks to Generation X crew for allowing us to use their air while our dive bottles were being filled.

Congratulations to Johan's team - we let you win in 90secs because our cups of tea were getting cold in the safe area:D :D

Thank you again

Steve

Well, just like Sneaky I had a blast! The marshalling was good, the gameschedule was running on time (and even faster) and I saw some very impressive moves. It was cool to see that there were so many teams from 5 different countries!!

Anyways, I want to thank everybody who was on the organisation!
And we will be seeing everybody of you at Simply the Best next year. This was the first tournament with our new team (with three rookie players) and we made 7th, winning the price for "best newcommers". So we want to thank Mr. Bull for the price!!
