And the event itself went quite well even if we thought it was a strange way of getting the winners with no play off.
You played 7 teams out of 22 and the highest score won so if you got an easier draw you could win without playing the more experienced teams. i:e Kellys came third but did'nt get a chance to play the teams who came first and second.
Dont get me wrong i am not bitching one of them teams creamed us in quick quick time but i think it would have been nice to have a play off for maybe the top four
Hi Russell,
As one of the organisers (the one running around all day gettings team to the fields), i would like to say that this was the first tournament we have organised so far, and because we wanted to give all the teams 8 games(not 7 like you stated) we were not sure that we would finish before it would be getting dark, in the end we had enough time so next time we will certainly have a playoff for numbers 1 thru 4.
If any of you lot have some points you would like to see changed or maybe a few good tips, they would be greatly appreciated, just like it was appreciated by us(organizers) and the teams that you guys were coming over!.
Hope you liked the event, and next time w'll try to get some better weather, it most have almost looked like home to all you guys with it raining the whole day!
Anyway, let us know, and hope to see you on the next edition of the event!
