Setting Up a New Team

hey guys, My mates and myself have been paintballing quite a few times now and have a thirst for it. We want to set up our own team (we live in Scotland) and was wondering if anyone could give us advice or help in doing this. That would be a great help.

You should probably come to the edinburgh keltics walkon on the 12th of febuary both the keltics and the clan will be there (plus the aberdeen lot hopefully but there not very good lol kiddin) and should be able to pick up some hints from them plus recruits if you needed them as there are a few people just starting out in the area as well

kool thanks mate. do you know any website where i could pick up team rules? Im the oldest going player out of our group of paintballers so im the one finding it all out. I dont think we should have a problem with players...just getting it started you know?
ie expense of training zones, number of players per team etc.

well you would have to call your local site up and ask about training fees. You'll have to pay the green fee to play on the site as well as buy the paint, you should be able to get a box of 2000 for about £25 for training purposes. Out of interest how old are you all, as you said u were the eldest. Also with regard to numbers of players etc, it depends on tournament to tournament, but generally 3man, 5man, and 7man.

What kinda guns etc are you all using?

We are all 17/18, im 18 in april. We were hoping to maybe get set up by end of year latest. We are all purchasing gear around about now.

I was thinking of buying a Tippman 98...looks pretty sweet and two of my mates were gonna import some american stuff.

dude. what sort of team are you looking at starting a tournament team or a scenario??

if its tournament please please please for the love of god geta tippman to play. you can get some good gats for the same price which are lot better .

Darren means don't get a tippman if you're looking to play tourney. If it's for a scenario team, tippman would be fine.

Before you go buying anything I'd speak to one of the keltics or the clan and let them guide you.
