After looking around the site, and reading almost every topic about budget markers, am I right in saying that the vibe, ions/ions xe, slg and a mini are the most recommended markers for beginers?

I've been told slgs arent very reliable initially but once you get the problems with them sorted there ok?

I think ill probly only end up playing walk-on days, and just for fun, dont think ill be getting into competition ect.

Really just looking for something thats reliable, is pretty decent and will get me by.

So whats best out of the vibe, ions/ions xe and a slg? ( or do you have reccomendations?)

On another note, the place where ill be playing is offering these starter packages.

Smart Parts Vibe Package
Smart Parts Vibe, PMI 0.8 litre air tank, Extreme Rage Overdrive Hopper (Available in black only) - £225
Proto SLG Package
Proto SLG, PMI 0.8 litre air tank, Empire Reloader II Hopper (Available in black / red / blue/ olive / cobalt) - £210

Smart Parts ION XE Package
Smart Parts ION XE, PMI 0.8 Litre air tank, Extreme Rage Overdrive Hopper (available in Black only) - £310

There also selling a vibe by itself for £95, and a ions xe for £175.

Would going for the ions xe for £175 then buying a hopper and a air system be a good option?

i would forget the vibe package since you have the money for an slg or an ion xe package

so its gonna be upto you in which you choose.
slg's are pretty good and so are ions and they are reliable aslong as you look after them my ion never went down on me. apart from the time i forgot to change the battery.

good luck

could get impulse raiders etek if not sold and lumps halo then all you need is air that will be well under £300 (just a thought)
but if not i would go for the

slg package

I've seen on the forums that the pmr's price has dropped alot recently? How much could I be expected to buy a brand new pmr for these days?
Anywhere in specific I should be looking?
