Seeing double vision/dominant eye

Not really where to post this, so apologies if its in the wrong place or if this is normal.

After playing last weekend and learning a few new skills, something became very apparent - I can see two barrels! I was told to keep both eyes opens and look down the barrel, but as soon as I do this I see two barrels when shooting right handed.

I do have glasses but rarely wear them as I can drive, read & play other sports without them. Is it a case of wearing them or over time you learn to focus on the dominant eye?

you see 2 barrels but over time you learn to focus on the target and you wont notice the 2 barrels, you keep both eyes open because you then see the whole field in-front of you instead of half of it with an eye closed

Generally covered above, but both eyes open gives you 3D vision to gauge distance etc, one eye will give you a view but you lose natural 3D

With both eyes you can look 'through' your hopper and gun as each eye sees down the respective side and your brain makes a composite picture

Practice makes you ignore the double barrel

Well I don't have brilliant depth perception anyway (please don't ask about driving!!). I'm hoping it's just practice like any sport. Thanks for the all info!

Yes you are fighting eye dominance. It will come with time and training. Or you can sit at home with an eye patch over your stronger eye for periods of time ;-)
