I'm looking to get into the sport fairly cheaply (hopefully under £200 all in) so am planning on going the second hand route as much as possible.

What electronic markers would you recommend looking out for in the for sale section for £50 to £150?

Thanks but I think I want something boxed and with instructions for my first marker so I can learn to take care of it properly!
I'll keep the etek in mind but any recommendations I'm likely to be able to pick up towards the lower end of my range (under £100)?

As a complete noob I was just after a few brands/names to keep an eye out for rather than actual markers for sale. I was hoping to work out a rough budget for all the kit I'll need and not make a poor first decision.
If mods think this would be better in the wanted section feel free to move it.

An etek or a mini would suit your price range mate - The most important thing is though invest in good goggles !! you may have a flash gun but without comfy goggles your about as much good as a used tampon !

Few brands to look out for JT Flex's, Dye I4's, Grillz all those goggles go for a resonable price on here so keep your eyes peeled !

you may struggle with a budget of £200 as you will also have to get a hopper and bottle also - If you are starting out in the woods then a decent pair of combats would do to start but dont compensate for a cheaper pair of googles for a better marker trust me

totally agree with scott, pick your goggles with care, ive got a set of v-force grillz, really nice an comfy an good vision, and also got 2 sets of empire events, again comfy an good view and look good but everyone is different you need to go to a site an just speak to people an try a few sets on, as for your marker, i use to do speedball so got an planet eclipse gun and wouldnt go any other way, if this is the route your goin then you need to up your budget mate as you wont get much or anything really for £100, if you want to get into woodsball (which i now do) and still use me Ego, you can pick up markers for the price your lookin at put wont be electronic, your just starting out so i would make a set of goggles your prioity, then look at your marker, you can get a cheap steal air bottle but again if you save up a little bit more get a carbon one, cause trust me mate this sports graps you and doesn't let go, ive got most things twice over as a just incase and always looking for more stuff, so the best thing to do is just spend that little more and you will be alot happier the first time instead of getting something then buying again but better, hope this helps mate but best advise i could say an others would agree hopefully is save up some more money and buy better gear and you will be happier

Thanks for the advice, unfortunately £250 is the absolute tops to get me completely set up but I'd rather play with something in that range than not play at all! I'm just planning on doing rec ball walkons for now.
I've been scanning the for sale section for goggles and avatars, events or i3s seem to go for around £30, what's your opinion on those?
In terms of markers I've seen ions and slgs under £100, will these be reliable or is that really something I can't scrimp on?
