I am thinking of getting a second gun after my cocker went down in the second game of the day at my last tourney. I was just wondering how many people have a second gun and do they find them usefull?

Cheers.

depends on your budget
i personally have an eclipse cocker but am saving for a second marker such as the eclipse impulse or a matrix
markers do go down but if your in a team usually a spare marker will be knocking about
if you have the money get one if not don't, easy as that

VW's are the game
I tell you what you can never go wrong with a Back-up marker. Just think if your $hit goes down and you have only pot time between rounds. You can atleast swap the tank and hopper over and you are on you way. Then you can screw with your #1 marker when you have the time.:D

Well I have my westwood cocker on a maxflow 4500 air system. It should be alright to fix if I send it to a mate who is a god with cockers. However my mate is selling his angel LED with 1.1l armageddon and he said he would take £400 or maybe lower, so I have been thinking that I may go for it and swap between which one I use per tourney. So they will both be my first gun and at the same time my backup.

However, I have a savings account which did have £2500 in it and I wasn't really supposed to use until I go to uni. Unfortunately I have already taken £500 out of it to pay for my airsystem and freak and other little bits. So I am not too keen on taking another £400 out of it if you know what I mean.

What would you guys do?

of course there useful, they get u out of the sh1t!the least things u have to swap over to ur second gun the better.
I have 3 guns,Eclipse Cocker (main gun) then either my Imp or my RT (was my main gun for 2/3yrs).
Even a cheaper basic gun can be a life saver to u or ur team cos if ur mates gun goes down & he dosent have a back up u can let him borrow urs so ur team aint a man down/gun down for a game/day.
I have let people (mainly the Pimps) borrow my guns may times before even my beloved Cocker!
If u can get a second gun even a spyder on co2 do it coz ud thank me for saying it!

Second markers are not essential but they do save embaresment, I guested for Fusion UK (before they vanished) and My cocker got nocked of the table and stopped working i had about 5 minutes to get my Automag set up and get on (easy to do with the mag I've sold it since then) I still have 2 tourney grade markers a cocker and an Impulse I can lend one out or if one goes down I have the second on hand the also have their own air systems as well so no time lost just grab and go.

Grab that Angel immediately!!! That is in fact exactly what I did. There is no substitute for having a reliable second marker. I for one think that one should always have an electro and a mechanical marker on hand at all times. Cocker and Angel or Impulse, or Sovereign and Shocker or Angel is the way to go. Carry a tube of DC33 (or Matrix Muck if you can...www.aardvarkdirect.com sells it) and WDP Love Juice or Cobra Snake Oil always. Cases of a marker shooting hot is enough reason in itself to have a backup. You work hard for those points, so don't let them go to waste because of technical BS!

At LEAST have a backup gun for your team. If one player has a backup gun, just have them bring it to all tourneys and practices. I would suggest getting a backup gun for yourself if you can afford it.
