scratched bolt

ok i recently jammed my gun, it was jammed pretty good so i had to take the bolt out and discovered somehow theres scratches all along the top of it. will this affect the guns shooting or anything like that?

Don't worry mate, bolts get scratched up.
And remember, there's no such thing as a stupid question.
(Just loud mouthed tools who have a go at a perfectly legitimate concern :)
Keep asking dude, it's how I learned. (Once put the bolt in my cocker upside down!!!!!)
And I reckon people should stop using gay as a general insult. Before they get the crap kicked out of them by a 6'2" homosexual :)
Anyway, when my bolts get scratched, I buy a new marker :)
or if they get mud on them, or they don't match my goggles or....

Yup spyder bolts get scratched easily because the way the vertical feed hole was made originally, its sharp so it scores the top of the bolt.

The bolt will work fine though, and its worth polishing your bolt and striker eventually!
