Okay,

I know all you guys from South of the Border are reluctant to travel and who can blame you, paintball on your doorstep. So what I have to work out is a way to convince you lot to make the trip to Edinburgh.

So, I have been thinking, A1 Paintball along with the Clan are looking at holding an event in 2005.

Details Below, what I need to know is what you want, and will I have enough interest to merit the event. It will be the first ever Tournament Held in Edinburgh, the PR will be massive and fingers crossed media interest.

So,

5 Minutes from Edinburgh Airport
15-20 Minutes from Central Edinburgh
4 Sup Air Fields

Media Interest

Good luck in getting the event off the ground. It would be great to see an event in Scotland. Scotland needs a boost to increase the profile of paintball so post your interest so Sid can get the event off the ground.

Byetheway if this is the site you showed to me when I was last up North, it will be an excellent event, 5 mins from airport, acres of space, Hotels nearby, and Edinburgh only a short drive away, with stunning nightlife, and probably the friendliest Pubs in the UK.

Nice to see two big names in the UK Tournament circuit showing their support, thanks.

Yes, we are trying to raise the profile of tournament paintball in Scotland, this weekend we have a Tournament Display in Fife, approx 20,000 people in attendance, okay not just to see Paintball but at the end of the day if even 10% of these people take an active interest in what we are trying to achieve with tournament ballin in Scotland then that's eh...um....2,000 people, if 10% of those 2,000 people decide they want to play ball in tournaments then thats another...erm....uh....200 new players in Scotland, good for the sport, industry and profile of Scottish Paintball......

I also have a new team outside the Clan ranks forming in Dundee, 9 players strong and already with a NON-PAINTBALL sponsor picking up the tab for playing kit....good on them.

So please, give me some support in what we are trying to do, for 7 years now I and my team mates have made the 600+ mile journey to play on your soil on a regular basis, can I ask you consider making the same journey as a one off to help me in what I'm trying to acheive.

Maybe even get some Americans over.......come on NPPL...Scotlands Capital as a World Series Event.....

Sounds like a good idea to me. SAAC would be interested, Its only the same milage to us, only going NORTH not SOUTH.

a tourny based in scotland would be cool, it would make a change from us northern teams having to travel all that way down south.
