Alright, i'm about to buy a bunch of rec ball kit off of phobia, i live in the north east of scotland and was wondering where i should go with all my new kit, meaning a walk on somewhere? can i just head along to a centre and it'll be cheaper for me to play considering i've got my own stuff?

Just so you know, this is how i try out any sort of sport, same with mountain boarding, surfing, i go buy the stuff before even trying it, then enjoy it more knowing how much money it cost me and if i don't like it i force myself to enjoy it because it cost me so much money. =]

Sites to play at

I believe Skirmish near Aberdeen do walk on days and ther is one near Inverness that does them as well. Further south there is a site in Balloch at the bottom of Loch Lomand that does walk ons as does the Scottish paintball centre near Ayr (Alexandria paintball I think) and they also have a scenario team playing out of there. Check out the Scottish Warriors web site, they are a scenario team and have several usefull links which will be of help. I would also call some local sites, some let you play with your own gear and some dont, best way is phone up and chat to them. They are usually ok if you are playing with a Tippmann but may be not so happy if you are using a high end marker like an Angel. Hope this all helps.

is near by, come on the forums and ask about details, few events run. there are also a few groups/ rec ball teams about, erm...NEM, Rats...whatever they call themeselves now. jump on the aberdeen uni forum and someone will poke you in the right direction.

As said above there are quite a few groups playing in Aberdeenshire. Rider_in_black and myself are part of rec / senario group who play in Aberdeenshire quite regularly.

Drop either one of a line to find out when the next one is and come along. We have the use of a farm for free so costs are your kit and apint or did I mean paint .

aberdeen skirmish do not do walk on days. but you can take your own kit - though still pay site prices for entry and paint. and apparently have started chrono'ing own guns to 230fps....
