I have some items in the for sale section, but have received an email out of the blue wanting to buy something, It has had scam written all over it from the get go. The only method that these scammers could have used to contact me was my Yahoo ID which I have now removed from my PGi profile.

Below is the email communication I have had, the name Edwin Johnson is on many scam buster websites. (I still think its Lovetone behind it all really)

so moral of the story, think about what comes into your mailbox, and probe the scammer, it all comes out eventually.

Tell him if he really wants it to send cash and see what kind of reply you get

I received a similiar email from a guy in Spain when looking to sell my old Ion. I humoured him up until I received a cheque for £2000 (the idea was, I cleared it into my account and sent back the extra :p).

I just ignored it all after that - at least I cost him 2 euros on posting the cheque from Spain ;)
