Hi,

I am planning a but of a trip round the states this winter and of course I MUST play SC Village.

But, so I can do a bit of planning ahead:

a) where actually is it - South Cal is a big place! i.e. where would be nearest town/city to stay in?

b) what's the set up to get a game there?

c) I presume it's open all year round :)

Cheers

Yes I would have to say SC is the best field I have ever played at. I live like 4 hours from it, but I've been there about 6 times for tourneys and "over the top practices."

First of all it's in a city named Corona, like the beer. And they have everything from some these scenario courses like "bosnia" that is actually pretty kewl, hyperball (gotta love tubes!) and Sup' Air, I think they have a mound course but I'm not sure, I didn't get to play that one if they do.

You could stay at the best western hotel, that's where we stayed. But I would suggest maybe shelling out a little more dough and staying in LA if you're going with some friends. LA is a lot more fun than Corona. Way more "Pubs" ;)

And it's always been been open when I've went. I've only gone the weekends though, I don't think they're open during the week. And it's $25 all day.

Hope it helps.

Hi Beaker,
Just a thought, e-mail SC in advance as some of our team was there last month and we were told the tourney fields were being leveled. This was to bring the tourney fields up to NPPL standards.

Rooster - I think it's UK, India and Australia (unless you count places like Gibralter and Falkland islands as countries!)

Will you guys be down at Sparklies next weekend (20th)?

Thanks Jim - I have fired off a mail now :)

Us South Africans drive on the same side as the british do we count? Though I am talking about deepest, darkest africa here where real roads are a luxury.;)

I'm still trying to get use to running electricity, running water, shoes, no wild animals roaming my back yard etc...
