Sandy...

Hullo. I'm sure there were threads on the subject from last year, but a quick glance didn't find anything. Can anyone who attended Huntington Beach last year, advise if playing in the sand effected their markers in any way? The reason I ask is one of our guys shooting a cocker is particularly concerned about getting sand all over the place...

If the person using the cocker is a back guy I can't see it being a huge problem. However, if you're a front guy who is diving around it's possible that the sand could get where you don't want it.

Your best luck would be to get ahold of some teams who used cockers like the bushwackers, VL allstars, and the eclipse factory teams.

We used a combination of intimidators, cockers and bushmasters last year at HB and in between games we used the air hoses to blow out the internals and made sure everything was moving smoothly. I think you'll be fine as long as you keep an eye on your marker and blow it out often.

I talked to someone who played on one of the teams I mentioned earlier and he said his gun didn't shoot very well b/c of the sand. He suggested using a gun where th bolt isn't exposed. The only guns that come to mind are a shocker or matrix.
