are there any problems i might run into whilst shortening the feedneck? like the balls not lining up with the eye (heard about this happening on a eggs)... anyone had any problems before?

If you making it shorter you need to shorten it by 0.68 of an inch (i.e one paintbal size) if you cut it at half of that then the eyes will line up with the gap between the 2 balls so maynot work or put tomuch pressure on the stack, is there any reason you need to shorten the height of it by 1 paintball?Tom37 said:are there any problems i might run into whilst shortening the feedneck? like the balls not lining up with the eye (heard about this happening on a eggs)... anyone had any problems before?

cheers very much bob. and no real reason, i just want a smaller profile. is there anything to be lost by doing this
If you change shells you will need to cut those down again...if you sell it, it may not fit or work on another gun, you can only go as low as your feedneck, so why not get a lower feedneck?
i sanded my feedneck about a year ago, then, last sunday the feedneck cracked and now i have to get a new shell, so dont sand you feedneck
well a year isnt bad to be fair is it? how will it screw up another gun? is it this aligning balls and eyes?
Yeah...or...there might not be enough feedneck left for a secure clamp with another markers neck...get my drift?
If you want a low profile, get a low profile feedneck (what marker?) liek aCCM No-Pro or whatever...then, maybe cut your neck down if you need to...but when you look at a loader ina feedneck...maybe theres 1/4 inch sticking out...so really, you wont make it any lower, but less to clamp on...
