Behind you!
Hi there,
my first post so please don't flame me ;)
I've been paintballing around 10 or so times at my local site because of birthdays and what not. So now I am definatley ready to get my first marker but i'm not really sure what to get. Unfortunatley price is an issue... I'm 17 and am currently learning to drive so I am strapped for cash - I am hoping that my parents are going to get me some paintball gear over christmas (mask, hopper, co2 tank - co2 as my local site only refills co2 and I'll usually be going there) however seeing as paintball is expensive I will probably have to buy the gun.
So, to the point of the thread: do any of you know if any paintball websites will be having a sale after christmas so I can pick a gun up for cheaper?
As a setup I was thinking...
Vent avatar goggles
co2
VL force loader
Proto SLG 09 or Smart Parts ion xe or Kingman Spyder RS
or Vibe package
(Not necessarily from those shops)
Thanks in advance
Bigwig
P.S i want to get in to speedball :)

Have a look in the for salesection here mate and pick up some gear 2nd hand, much cheaper and you'll be able to get something better for your money. You have picked some decent kit in your first post though for someone starting out. The only issue I can see arrising is if you want to go dwn the speedball route and play at tournies such as CPPS, UKM ect then you would need an air bottle (as the guys supply air at tournies not CO2), but if your local site only does CO2 then stick to that. Out of the guns you have chosen the SLG is the best but not 100% sure how it would be on CO2 (the Vibe is great on CO2)

Thanks, yeah the site i'm closest to is only small - it's called combat splat and it's near Swindon... I think I may just go with the Vibe because it's seems pretty good for the price.

If you're just going to your local site to play forget the gun, just get a good set of goggles, hopper, pack + pots, shoes, and dark or camo clothes.

Just a set of thermal goggles will make your day so much better.

Then when you're ready to make the jump to tournaments (woodsball or sup-air) look out for a good deal on a second hand marker.
