If I understand it right, they have not been able to practice on the field the same way they have before the EXL events and that is the explenation, they will get better as the tournament goes.Originally posted by Robbo
RL beat Lanche 9 to 8 in overtime.
I just spoke to Ed and he told me it was a close run thing with the Russkies tieing the game in the dying seconds.
I wonder if the Russkies are gonna pick up momentum as they continue through this tourney coz if they don't and they are getting results relevant to their standing amongst the other teams, then what does this say about us teams over here who played in the EXL ?
Hmmm, food for thought indeed !
The Legion have been in the States for over a week now, after the Norway event they went to NY for a session with NYX, the on to the PSP. So i doubt jet lag was a factor todayOriginally posted by JAC

Maybe you are trying too hard to find a reason why they didnt smash Lanche. Maybe the reason is this. Lanche are a quality world class team. So are the Legion. Rarely do quality world class teams smash each other up like the 15-0 score many people may have been expecting. Many people have been expecting the Legion to roll everyone because they have seen them do it in the EXL. People may have over exagerated what they perceive the Legion to be and elevated them to a myth like entity. I think that too many peopl ehave let their hearts rule common sense and have got a warped sense of how good the legion actally are. They are a world class team no disputing that. But so are the likes of Dynasty, Lanche, Infamous, XSV and the Dogs. The Legion will not find it plain sailin gover there by any means.
And if anyone thinks that the Yanks are gonna let a Euro team waltz in and claim the first victory of a non american team in a US event, then they are mistaken. Its gonna be far tougher for the Legion than it will be for the other Yanks

So if what your saying is right then Sam is this just more evidence towards an even bigger skills divide between US and Euro teams? If Legion are so much better than the rest of the cream of Europe than does this mean they are 'only' on par with the US top flight, what does that mean to the rest of the Euro teams hoping to compete on a global scale?
