As a little warm up our friends the russians are in New york to practice against New York Extreme. Its going to be a good indicator of how good they really are. As many Us players have refused to belive that they have gotten so much better this year I have to say that im looking forward to hear what they have to say after this weekend.
Other news is that Max Lundqvist will be playing with the Russians this weekend and at the event next week.

For those of us who don't really follow the NXL, how do New York Extreme stack up against the other teams?

I had a chat with Legion and Rosie the coach on NYX its going to be a good practice with NYX trying to get Legion aclimated to US style of play meaning lots of bounus balling and lots of playing on.The reason for this is to get Legion ready so in case this dose happen witch it usually dose in the US they wont lose there cool and maintain foucus to kick some a$$ in Pitt.Ill be there in Pitt to cheer them on if i can get a break from NXL when they play

NYX 4th strongest? Step off brother Boogie...Bob's, Philly, Strange, Trauma, Aftershock are all stronger...leastwise I'd say they are. No?

And with tha XSV and Infamous crews outta tha league, the teams below em - LA, Legacy and AA II - are not exactly setting tha world alight yet.

In my oh-so-humble opinion, Russians could wax NYX and still get mauled off of Dynasty and Infamous, and XSV and Lanche ain't gonna roll over either.

I'd say NY is in a right respectable position right now considering the company they keep.

Now Russian Legion is a story that should have been (and still should) be documented. Has all the makings of a brilliant docu-soap culminating in the steamy environs of Disney World with flag-waving Americans surrounding the field...

Well, I stand corrected - leastwise when it comes to Shock, cos I guess they ain't gonna get no better now they is 3 players down. I think Strange is now used to NXL ball and will go from strength to strength - remember, they were a season down on tha rest.

it'll be good to see the ruskies actually get tested. as this season in the EXL they have not changed out of 1st gear! oh maybe to second on a couple of occasions just to remind all that they can win at will!

i think and hope that the US will get a very big suprise, as the Ruskies are god dam awesome!
