Unfortunately the Rushers have folded.

As many of you are aware with the advent of the X-ball team some of our players have been picked up.
With Nick.T going overseas to work for Smart Parts we lose another strong player from our line up, added to this Birger.L may head back to his homeland.
In reality to lose this many core players makes it very difficult to continue and with much thought we have decided to call it a day.

We wish all our players the best of luck in whatever avenue they pursue and would like to thank all our sponsors for their support over the years.
Firstly Phil and Belinda Webb who have helped us use the best possible equipment and given us a huge amount of advice and support. Sponsorship is hard to gain but more importantly a long term friendship is just as valuable, thankyou.
Diablo Direct have given us the chance to compete at many more Millenniums than we could have done, with this they have helped us compete to a level we are proud of and we thank them for their fantastic support.
Other sponsors to thank include Hypersport Works, JT and PGI all very much appreciated, all great companies.

Rushers have competed all over Europe and I am proud of the fact we could represent UK paintball, we are the only UK Amateur team to EVER make a Millennium final, we have achieved this five times gaining three 2nd's two 1st's. This is due to the dedication of the guys to train and I thank them for their commitment.

We would like to thank all of our fiends we have met throughout the Millennium series and it really is a great circuit to be involved in, one we will not forget.

Regards

All I can do is agree with all that Dave has said and thanks to everyone who has help the Rushers over the years. Without the support of the afore mentioned sponsors we could not have acheived what we did...

Good luck to all of the guys, they are a bunch of top, dedicated paintballers and I wish all of you luck in your new teams and prospects...

Many thanks

On a personal note I would like to say thanks to all the guys with whom I have played ball with in the Rushers for what has been the best 2 and a half years of paintball I have ever had.

Without the help of these great guys and our fantastic sponsors I would probably not even be playing paintball right now.

It's a difficult time for all those involved and I can't stress enough that whilst I am very happy to be involved in the Nexus team I am still sad to be leaving these guys who I count amongst my very very best friends.

So to Dave Hall, Das Lane, Birger Lund, Nick Truter, Pete Martin, Tom Quibell, Billy Smith and Bowen Lester Prattowski - a massive thanks.

To Phil Webb and Smart Parts, Draxxus paintballs, JT USA, Hypersportworks I Frames and PGI magazine - without you all and your help it all just could not have happened for us.

To the likes of all Rushers past (they know who they are) - all friends forever.

As we say in the Rushers - 'once a Rusher, always a Rusher'

Amen

Goodnight

For me, this year has been one hell of a roller coaster ride for me!!

Not even a year ago I was playing the odd novice tournament maybe once every couple of months when WHAM BAM suddenly out of no-where MarkyT spots a little something, that little bit of potential, that little bit of flair or more than likely that i was just a short-ass midget dwarf who could run fast and throw himself at that little barracade that is barely visible on the 50yd line.

Well to cut a long story short i was whisked to the secret RUSHER lair where i was was tied to a tree and fed nothing but gruel, let free only to train the RUSHER way.

I seriously reckon that Dave and Daz could easily train a peanut if they wanted to so i must have been a bit of a challenge but i think that i kinda got the basics and the whole of this season has just been an up and up kind of sensation with these boys going from strength to strenth dragging me along with them!! - Daz, Dave .... Thank-you!

I would also like to thank 'Birger the viking' cause i seem to need looking after 24/7 and the poor ba$tard got the job right from the start, still if he had been better at penny up it might've been different!?

MarkyT is my captain of choice and seems to have done a superb job this year, cant think of anybody i'd rather play under, and NickyT has by far the most amount of hair of anyone i've ever played with ...... did you know if you were to uncurl one of those little brillopad lumps on his head individual strands would probably be close on reaching the moon!!?

Big thanx to SmartParts Europe, Draxxus, JT, Hypersports + PGI - luv you guys!!

And if this year has taught me anything it's that it aint for the silverware its for the Luv!! RUSHER style.

Once a Rusher, always a Rusher

rushers

i can tell you that i do not agree with the end of the rushers, i think that despite the fact that you lose some core players, you should continue on the european circuit and find new players that will fit to the team.
the biggest value of the team is the friendship between players and the sponsors that have always support the rushers.
quitting means that you will have to split and every player need to search for a new team to play.
The "rushers" name is a value by itself, you should be able to find excellent players to play with you.
The money that every player have spend to win several millennium series will be lost instead of keeping your sponsors that will support you (even if lost 2 or 3 players) , just because you are called the rushers and you are one of the most famous team in UK, and a name that is feared by all the amateurs teams and a lot of pros in the Millennium.
You have invest so much money to create a winning team.
I think that to split is stupid and i believe that you will repent.
anyway, i wish all the best for all the rushers players. do not forget one rule " friendship is the most important to keep a team together"
and the rushers was a team like that.

Long live the rushers
