i have read the comments of the euro Teams at mardi gras.
i strongly disagree with Nick brockdoff, we could have a chance to qualify. We won only 3 games but where very short of winning two more, which in fact could have put us in semi-finals.
we finish 13 out of 23 teams.
we won against brass eagle (winner of mardi gras) quite easily , we had the game won against naughty dogs and we screwed up.
nemesis was a hard fight but it could have turn to our advantage with a little luck.
trauma was almost impossible to win and brimstone also.
To tell the truth , we could have been better and we only felt two teams that we can say that they were superior to us.
the others 6 games which we won 3 of them. we lost them not because they were better but because we probably felt lack of communication, paint (shockteck), and the format (5 man centerflag first pull 20 points) was not the most appropriate.
Rushers was always attacking, taking risks and showing spectacular paintball.
Remember it was the first time that the rushers went to a US tournament. Next time, I believe that their experience will grow and they will reach the semi finals. and make a better result.
We should not forget that European union at the world cup finish 4th amateur B, showing impressive skills and fantastic paintball.
But i agree that the amateur level in the Usa is quite difficult but surely not impossible to make a awesome result for teams like the rushers, nbk, worms, scalps, ignition, consilium dei (winner of the world cup 2001 in amateur A)...
