Okay semi-serious question time guys.

Under the MS rules finals are now best of three .... now I take that as win two games (even on bodies) and you take the "match".

I have had heard other interpretations - so would be keen for the views of other - even through experience.

The example given is thus:

Game 1
Team A = 15 points
Team B = 0 points

Game 2
Team A = 15 points
Team B = 0 points

Now by my understanding the "match" is now finished - and we all move on. The question is thus:

Is Game 3 played - due to the fact that if Team B maxes they will generate sufficient points to take the "match" if all points are added together?

Personally I think not (and based on a conversation I've had in the past with someone who's name escapes me) - but enquiring minds want to know.

Cheers

This was applied at the Ashford International 5-man last November. In one semi-final best of three, the first game was drawn with team A getting more eliminations, team B won the second game and the third game was another draw, again with team A having a higher elimination count. The Millennium rules were checked and the win was given to team A according to them. The ruling was that it goes on the number of wins, NOT the total points scored across all 3 games.

So it looks like the example you gave is correct - your team A "won" the first 2 out of the 3 games, and so should be given the overall win without having to play a third game.

Best of Three

Liz is quite right, I was the ultimate at the Euro5man last year.
I was field ultimate for field 3, in the finals Ecstacy played Tigers Kids. First game Tigers Kids won on head count, second game Ecstacy got the max but in the third game Ecstacy sat on the game
expecting the win but in the millenium rules the finals are a best of three and accumulated score doesn't count so the Kids went through on one more elimination in the third game.
Now if you lose its a bad system but if you all know the score beforehand you can't really complain, not that that is any concellation to Ross and the guys in Ecstacy.
