What would happen if........

two team mates are left at the end of a game and one shoots the other for a laugh so he can get the grab. The first player then spins and shoots his buddy.

Obviously the first shooter would be wiped down cos' his buddy played on. But then he is penalised one for one and both leave the field.

Would it be a draw??

Or would the other team get the max??

We had some discussions about this over the weekend - anyone got any thoughts (this has probably been done before but I dont keep back records of threads!!!)

You're right mate - getting the shakes and everything - cant wait for Toulouse!!!

As for your answer - hmmm - I think the opposing team might have a word or two to say about that!!!

Anyone else???

If I where reffing, and this happened, the little devil in me would want to pull both - just because they must be the 2 dumbest players in paintball

Following the rules to the letter of the law, it would be a 1-4-1 which removes the last player, so the other team automatically gets the max.

Followed sharply by both players getting a mighty fine kicking from their team-mates/captain. ;)

I think you're wrong

reason

to impliment the rule for automatic max i believe that it has to be the last player standing gets the 1 4 1 - there being no player to pull - auto max.

In this case the second last player is at fault and a 1 4 1 is poss.

so I think I've answered my question!!!

If a 2 4 1 were administered - then the max could be given!!!

I like Nicks idea about the auto flag-hang if there is a minute on the clock. Although it does sound like it's thought of just for the back player who can't quite make it the length of a field in under two minutes ;) :D

Mark, (and I must admit, I just double checked to be certain :) ):

Millenium Rules: 12.62. If a penalty is called that results in the removal of the last player from a team, the other team will be awarded the flag-hang automatically.
12.63. Assesments of 1/2/3-for-1 penalties when not enough live players left (eg last man get's 1-4-1'd):
Offending team flag is considered grabbed and hanged, flag of offended team is considered safe, and for every player that cannot be pulled out, the offended team receives back a live player on the scoresheet, up to max. team limit.

I have to say, I thought it was just penalty points per player that couldn't be pulled, so you learn something everyday.

Oh, and Goose, my girlfriend just agreed with you - your pooch is WAY better looking than me!
