Now I've just had a crazy idea. couldn't you build a solenoid ram into the trigger frame of an electro gun that pops the trigger back every time a shot is fired. This would make it operate much the same as an Automag RT, and so would the same laws be applied? would any tournament organisers allow players to use them? who would I need to talk to to find out?

Just a thought,

it might technically be possible to put an rt style set-up in an impulse an impulse trigger is already an electro so it fires over and incredibly short time anyways , the only problem with the impulse trigger is that smartparts deliberately left a lot of movement around the point where it fires so some simple set screws could problalby shorten it enough

Someone did something very similar with the shocker a year or so ago and it worked quite well. However, they did use the Shocker's vent air output as a means of driving it, which meant that you couldn't use the air assist.

I'm thinking that it's not really worth it. It might be easier just to stiffen up the trigger spring, shorten the pull and use the recoil to let it rock. It can happen on my Bush 2k (and has done). All you need is a sub-1mm pull and a stiff[er] spring on the trigger.
